Personal
After graduating from college, I had thought of going to medical school, but life took me on a different journey - literally moving to other countries, getting married, and starting a family. After living abroad for 15 years, our family returned to the United States and we settled in Kaysville, Utah. While living abroad I began receiving regular massages to help me with migraines, back aches, and a high-risk pregnancy. The massages offered me more relief than any pills I had taken. It opened my mind to a complimentary way of dealing with pain.
I decided that I wanted to study massage therapy so that I could help my family and friends with their pain. I waited until the timing was right and enrolled in Myotherapy College of Utah. I thoroughly enjoyed learning more about the body and how to help the body heal itself, in part using massage therapy. I knew there were several types of massage modalitites, but quickly learned that there are hundreds of modalitites. With so much to learn, I will be a life-long student! I loved what I was learning so much that I decided to do more with it and I opened my own clinic. I now enjoy helping many others. I would like to work together with healthcare professionals as a team in helping people decrease and manage their pain. I also love to teach others how to do simple massages with their family and friends.

Life shouldn’t be measured by the length of your medical troubles, but by memories, deeds and adventures.
